But I've been in plenty of bar fights, and EVERY TIME, I worried about my own well being.
There was one time, when my niece was about 2 or 3, that my idiot teenaged sister left her idiot drugged out friends to babysit because she wanted to go somewhere. I remember walking in the room. Three or four guys basically gatting high, watching TV, not looking after the child. I remember my niece looking at me with a look of "I'm scared". I remember scooping her up and...firmly...insisting they leave immediately. What struck me later was the foreign feeling of having absolutely no concern for my own well being.

I've always thought that that is what it feels like to be a parent.Exadorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17235470525521653153noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15835759.post-1144455723873884282006-04-07T19:22:00.000-05:002006-04-07T19:22:00.000-05:00Man. I dropped by earlier and was going to give you some ass about being funnier when you were writing about nekkid women instead of dogshit...now I'm glad I didn't.

My husband's currently teaching at Ole Miss while the Kid and I are hanging in New York. He's had three sets of tornados go through the last couple of months and each time my heart's in my mouth. He's reported in and he's fine too, though he's going to have to help a friend tarp over a blown-off roof.bridgetthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11257980437758725837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15835759.post-1144453468392307402006-04-07T18:44:00.000-05:002006-04-07T18:44:00.000-05:00*hugs*I'm so glad y'all are okay!*hugs*

I'm so glad y'all are okay!Titusina Andronicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09987792859709749067noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15835759.post-1144451463334363072006-04-07T18:11:00.000-05:002006-04-07T18:11:00.000-05:00Oh, god.
